Personal Story from a Nebraska NAG - Easy Computer Hacking
As an IT (computer) person I know how easy it is for even the best designed systems to
get compromised.  Any basic Certified Ethical Hacking  (for a description of that please
see:http://www.1stafftraining.com/cc/CEH.html ) course will teach you how easy it is to be hacked despite what security vendors might tell you.

I used to work in Iowa where the drivers licenses could be scanned in. My employer scanned them all the time(using age verification as an excuse) & then used the info collected to market to customers and also sold the info to companies like Info USA(telemarketing & mailing lists)- anyone who had access to one of the 57 terminals in that building could have hacked in & accessed the data. I know because it happened twice while I was there.  The only customers who weren't really threatened were Nebraska people whose information was usually incomplete due to un-scannable licenses.

STRATFORD -- An illegal immigrant from Guatemala has been charged with trying to pass himself off as a U.S. citizen while working on a roofing job at Sikorsky Aircraft.

Eusebio Chilel, 24, of Clinton Avenue, in New Haven, was charged with second-degree forgery and criminal trespass. He is held in lieu of $5,000 bond.

Police were called Aug. 20 to the Sikorsky Aircraft plant on Main Street to investigate a possible security breach. Chilel was attempting to enter the defense contractor's property to do work with a roofing company crew.

Police said people are allowed to enter the Sikorsky property only if they have valid identification and company security determined that Chilel's identification was fake.
Chilel told officers he had come to the United States illegally in 1999 from Guatemala and had been working for the Silktown Roofing Co. for six years, police said. Although Chilel had a permanent resident card, he admitted it was fake and he acquired it on the street in New Haven two years ago, police said. He also claimed he had gotten a Guatemala passport from the Guatemalan embassy and with that was able to obtain a New Haven resident identification card.

Police said Chilel drove to the Sikorsky plant even though he doesn't have a driver's license.  Police said they have also notified federal immigration officials about the incident.
